More than new homes: How our construction partners are supporting Camden residents

Through our Community Investment Programme we’re not only delivering more homes and community facilities for Camden residents – we're also creating opportunities for local people.

On Phase Two of our Agar Grove redevelopment, The Hill Group have reinforced their commitment to delivering meaningful initiatives through a £5,000 donation to support local parents with the cost of childcare.

Hill met with Cllr Nasrine Djemai, Cabinet Member for New Homes and Community Investment and Kim, a Camden resident and beneficiary of the project, where she was presented with a ceremonial cheque which she accepted on behalf of residents benefitting from the programme.  She spoke about her journey with the Agar Children’s Centre, sharing how she first attended “Stay and Play” sessions before enrolling her child in nursery provision. Now, with reliable childcare in place close to home, Kim can focus on returning to work - a step she described as transformative for her family. She highlighted how valuable the local provision has been, particularly as they live nearby, making daily routines more manageable and reducing travel costs.

Initiatives like this show how support from our construction partners can genuinely help Camden families, and that the Community Investment Programme is as much about opportunities for people as it is about the homes they live in. Learn more about our Agar Grove redevelopment here.
