Four more awards for CIP

It’s been a busy few months for our Community Investment Programme, with four sites bringing home awards!

Highgate Newtown Community Partners won a Civic Trust Award in March, with judges commenting: “It stands as a powerful example of how thoughtful, inclusive architecture can deliver meaningful social value, creating a place that is not only functional but genuinely life-enhancing for the community it serves.”  This project delivered 36 new council homes and transformed the old territorial army centre into a state-of-the-art community centre, providing a place for people to come together and access vital services and amenities.  In April, the Considerate Constructors Scheme National Site Awards recognised and celebrated excellence in construction, acknowledging those who are going above and beyond in their commitment to being considerate constructors. For CIP, three of our construction partners brought home prizes:

  • The Wates team working on Abbey Road Phase 3 won gold. This is the third and final phase of the development which will deliver 247 homes for private sale and 145 homes at social rent for Camden residents.

  • Morgan Sindall, constructors working on our Hostels Project, received two awards, with Camden Road achieving gold and Chester Road recognised with silver. This project will provide new temporary homes, staff facilities, and public realm improvements across the two sites.

Working together on these projects with our partners RCKa, Morgan Sindall, and Wates, this recognition reflects the dedication and collaboration behind each project to create spaces that improve residents' lives and positively impact communities during the construction process.

These projects are being delivered by our Community Investment Programme, our ambitious plan to invest in homes, schools and community facilities. Click here to find out more about each project.
