Camley Street gets lively!

Saturday 18 September brings the long awaited reopening of Camley Street Natural Park at 12 Camley Street N1C 4PW, and the Camley Street Festival kicking off from the park.

Entry to Camley Street Natural Park is free and the festival is based here from 11am-3pm. Everybody is welcome.

The festival will include: 

  • Music by acoustic vocalist Sean Arkless
  • Face-painting for children
  • Guided tours of the natural woodland by ecologists. The park includes a lake area and a unique floating platform on the canal.
  • Visit the brand new London Wildlife Trust centre and café.
  • View an exhibition about proposals to sustainably regenerate the Camley Street area. You’ll have an opportunity to discuss and comment on the developing vision. Please find the consultation page here. 

A short, signposted walk along Camley Street brings you to the Cedar Way industrial estate, where the festival continues from 3pm.

  • Explore the London Design Festival’s showcase called: Thinkers, Makers, Dreamers. Innovative sustainability projects from Kingston School of Art’s Sustainable Design Masters graduates - from connecting communities to local food sources, to promoting green spaces, and innovative toys of the future.
  • Food from Feed The Village
  • Pickling workshops with Chef Ben McMenamin
  • Music and spoken word
  • Grace Savage - champion beatboxer, loopstation artist & singer/songwriter 
  • Gecko - singer/storyteller. Part acoustic, part comedy
  • Simeon Hammond Dallas - earthy folk singer/songwriter

Camley Street

Camley Street CIP is set to deliver 350 new homes in a highly sustainable new neighbourhood. It includes genuinely affordable homes, improved business space and job opportunities for local residents, along with new public green and open space. Comment on the developing vision here.

The London Design Festival continues on site at Cedar Way every day between 18-25th September as well as at various locations across London.
