Voting by proxy

This is the improved Camden website. Tell us what you think.

Voting by proxy

The deadline to apply to vote by proxy for the General Election on Thursday 4 July is 5pm Wednesday 26 June.

If you are unable to get to your polling station or you’d like to nominate someone to vote on your behalf, you can apply for a proxy vote.

Appointing a proxy means that someone else will cast your vote for you.

Your appointed proxy will need to cast your vote at your designated polling station. Your proxy must be registered to vote and eligible to vote at the election.

Once appointed a proxy can also apply for a postal proxy where your ballot papers are sent to them, however this must be set up by the postal vote deadline, which is 5pm Wednesday 19 June 2024.

Apply to vote by proxy

You can apply to vote by proxy online on the GOV.UK website.

You will need to provide:

  • your National Insurance number or other identity document, for example a birth certificate
  • your signature
