Healthy Streets, Healthy Travel, Healthy Lives: Camden Transport Strategy 2019-2041

The Mayor of London recently published his Transport Strategy (MTS), which sets out his vision for London for the next 23 years. All London boroughs are required to produce a Local Implementation Plan (LIP) to demonstrate how they will help to deliver the Mayor’s strategy locally alongside their own priorities.

2024 Transport Strategy update

Read the 2023 annual update report.

In 2022 we reviewed our progress so far on the CTS and also set out our delivery plan for the period covering 2022/23 - 2024/25.

Following learning from the changes delivered during the pandemic we have also updated the way we consult on and engage with our communities on proposals.

Our Transport Strategy (CTS) aims to transform transport and mobility in Camden, enabling and encouraging people to travel, and goods to be transported, healthily and sustainably. The CTS sets our objectives, policies and measures for achieving this goal.

Our priorities include:
•    increasing walking and cycling
•    improving public transport in the borough
•    reducing car ownership and use
•    improving the quality of our air
•    making our streets and transport networks safe, accessible and inclusive for all
