Local Studies fees, scanning and camera charges

All photographs supplied or taken of items in the Camden Local Studies and Archives Centre may not be reproduced or publicly displayed without our prior permission. The scale of charges are subject to revision.

Charges for Reproduction of CLSAC Images and Documents

Books, journals etc UK rights: £55 / World rights: £76.50 
Book jackets or covers UK rights: £86.50 / World rights: £107 
Postcards, greetings cards, calendars, souvenirs etc UK rights: £127 / World rights: £162.50 
Websites UK rights: Not applicable / World rights: £96.50 
Advertising UK rights: £107 / World rights: £127
Stills in films/DVDs/videos UK rights: £107 / World rights: £127 
Stills in TV UK rights: £127 / World rights: £127 
Displays or exhibitions by non-profit organisations UK rights: £20.50 / World rights: £20.50 
Displays or exhibitions by commercial bodies UK rights: £55 / World rights: £76.50 
Fees for more than one item (both UK and World rights price are by negotiation)
Publication in planning application reports UK rights: £20.50 / World rights: Not applicable

Scanning and camera charges

Payment must be made in advance.

Cheques should be made payable to: London Borough of Camden.

If the copyright of an image is held by an individual or body other than the London Borough of Camden, the image cannot be photographed or scanned.

Work will normally be supplied within 10 working days.

JPEG or TIFF (300dpi) Copy of existing scan: £7 per scan / New scan: £23.50 per scan

Use of cameras by researchers Copy of existing scan: £5 per 10 photographs / New can: Not applicable
