Swiss Cottage Library refurbishment

Due to building refurbishment work, Swiss Cottage Library's catalogue and reservation service will not be available until June 2022. Also, from March to June, areas of the building will be closed to public and staff use on a rolling basis. This is to allow contractors to safely replace the library windows and carry out electrical upgrades.

Our apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Free online writing workshop

On Tuesday 22 February, as part of City of Stories, the writer S. Niroshini ran a free online writing workshop for Camden. This was for budding writers aged 18+.

There are other City of Stories writing workshops running through the whole of February.

Writers who took part in the workshops can enter their finished stories to the Spread the Word's City of Stories competition here.

Open+ is back in our libraries

We are using our Open+ door entry system again at five of our libraries.

This means that you will need to bring your library card and PIN number with you to enter these libraries before 12noon.

The five libraries are:

  • Camden Town
  • Kentish Town
  • Kilburn
  • Queens Crescent
  • West Hampstead

If you don't have a current library card, or you have forgotten your PIN number, please speak to a member of staff.
