Are you looking after someone else's child?

Family and friend carers

Sometimes parents cannot always look after their children and may make arrangements for family members or friends to care for them for a period of time.

You can read more on how Camden can support family and friend carers.

For more information on how we can support family and friend carers in Camden, read our policy statement.

Private fostering

You need to let us know if you are arranging for your child to be looked after for more than 28 days by someone who is not their:

  • grandparent
  • parent, step-parent or legal guardian
  • aunt or uncle
  • sibling

You can find out more on our Camden fostering page.
