Regent's Park Estate - CIP
Regents Park Estate
- Ward: Regent’s Park
- Key Features: 185 affordable council homes (including HS2 replacement homes and 10 additional family sized council homes at Everton Mews), and refurbishment of the Camden People’s Theatre
- Completed: 2020
We built 175 affordable council homes to replace homes affected by the HS2 development on the 1950s Regent’s Park estate. Working closely with local residents, who expressed their desire to stay within the locality, we built these replacement homes at 8 sites on the existing estate.
The project demonstrates how redevelopment can help make better use of land to create modern homes that meet residents’ needs whilst improving our estates, contributing to enhanced public realm, and enriching the lives of both the new and the existing residents.
As part of the redevelopment, we refurbished the Camden People’s Theatre, converting the upper floors into flats, and built 10 additional family- sized council homes at Everton Mews.
