This project transformed the existing blocks on the estate, creating better living areas for residents.
Before refurbishment, the properties were clustered around shared facilities, had no heating, were poorly insulated and in need of significant improvement works.
Completed in 2017, the Community Investment Programme funded rejuvenation of these flats, including converting bed-sit accommodation into a mix of modern, self-contained homes.
This redevelopment also included 42 homes for council rent and 13 homes for Shared Ownership creating much needed affordable homes for the local community.
