Run by disabled people for disabled people, the Greenwood Centre is Camden’s first Centre for Independent Living offering activities and services to residents with all kinds of care needs, including:
- Modern facilities for Camden’s day centres
- Multi-sensory garden spaces
- Art rooms and a music studio
- Space to hire for community groups and social enterprises
This project brings Camden’s day centres under one roof so residents can access a range of support, make friends and take steps towards living independently. The building includes adaptations to cater to complex needs ensuring services are inclusive. The Camden Society also run a café, providing training and apprenticeships to disabled adults.
